Get It Right, Get It Tight: Make It A Part Of The Day

For everyone noticing my weightloss its been from a combination of several things.  This post is to show what I am doing and how often I'm doing it to help you ladies jump start you fitness goals.  One of my fitness goals have been to work out at least three times a week.  As we all know goals are to be attainable and to be met.  Often at times, goals are not reached because of the lack of planning into our busy schedules.  Anything worth doing will be worked into your day.

First, start by choosing a time of day you would actually be up and moving.  For me is at 10-11pm or 7-8am.  I am not a morning person so I choose the evening workout time but these are the times my body is already up and going and I am not sleepy and therefore I am more likely to actually workout and give it my all.

Second, I do workouts that get my heart rate going.  Cardiovascular workouts are great to burn the calories you eat during the day and help condition your body for over all weight loss.  One of the machines I HATE is the same machine I get on first when I get to the gym because it makes me burn the most calories, the Arc Trainer -___-

Lastly, I do not limit my workouts to the gym...if I cannot make it out the house (usually when its cold, rainy, or anything else I can fathom an excuse for lack of a babysitter) I do my workouts to home DVDs or home exercises.  My favorite exercises at home includes jumping rope, doing squats, and working out to Hip Hop Abs because Sean T is so fine and fun.
So far these things have worked for me and I've been pretty slack on being consistent but I am not going to give up.  Any workouts you ladies love?  If so let me now so I can try them!

Hautecore Couture

This is the age of expression and showing your inner beauty through the clothing you wear.  No more do I dress to be safe and I enjoy to wear bold and fashion forward styles.  One of my favorite looks from the past few weeks include a classic mix of the color black with new trendy fashions like wearing it as a lipstick color.  I attend a fashion ball for LGBT men and women so I had the liberty to wear whatever I wanted.  The combat boots are edgy to wear and key in making a dressy skirt transform to a different level as a casual outfit.   A bobby hat keeps my look fun and unique.  One thing I'm trying this year is to incorporate more accessories into my wardrobe so stay tuned for more looks coming your way.

Fashion Figures: Josephine Swim

Sexy, beautiful, and modern...three words I usually would not use to describe plus size swimwear.  However at the first glance of Josephine Swim those were the first words to come in mind.  Some of you may remember a few weeks back when a few pictures of seductive swimsuits with bold prints started to surface on Instagram. The buzz started because one thing a girl can never have is too many bathing suits!  Now we know who to thank for this gorgeous line;  Marie Jean Baptise, designer of the poplar contemporary brand Rue 107 and also the mastermind behind this line of luxury swimwear.  I am pleased to introduce you Dolls to Josephine Swim which includes full coverage swimwear or bikinis.  The "Into The Wild" debut collection was inspired by the waters of Africa and the patterns and colors are nothing short than amazing.  I cannot wait to get my hands on one of these babies.  Be sure to check out the website and some of my favorite styles below.

Little Black Dress Done Casually

One of the easiest looks I can throw together is with the Little Black Dress.  For a quick decision night at the bar I threw on my LBD and jazzed it up with a hip flannel top tied around my waist.  One of my favorite companies to work with is Donatella's.  Check out some of their other styles I wore here and here.  One thing I love about these plus size mock suspender tights in particular is the sex appeal the faux garter print gives my outfit.  Love the look, check out the tights here!  To stay true to the casual vibe I rocked low studded ankle boots and a leather jacket.   I was dressed and out the door in 15 minutes, not bad huh?

$1,000 Face: Skin Care & Luxury Natural Face

It's not always the makeup itself that makes you look beautiful, but also the condition of your skin.  Lately I've been getting really into skin care.  The foundation of a flawless made up face will be the skincare routine.  I was recently introduced to the Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Serum by celebrity make up artist Brittany of Nordstrom's beauty department (here).  She suggested the YSL serum because it has anti-aging ingredients like glycanactif and also the serum brightens the skin and creates a glow.  With 100 years of research, 7 nobel prize mentions and with 2 out of 3 women choosing YSL serum I had to give it a try.  At $155 a bottle I opted for a couple of sample packs tom my beauty consultant and tried it for myself.  Personally, I really like this serum because of the lightweight feel on my skin and the wonderful apricot smell which is the signature smell of most of the YSL products.  During the day, I kept checking on my face and it seemed to do well with my oily T-zone area.  So far I am pleased with the serum but it's too early to tell if I'd recommend it or would buy a full bottle.  I'll be sure to update you dolls again about this serum with long term use.  One thing for sure is that I plan to start with anti-aging now instead of later.

Pretty Girl Playground

One of the prettiest places to party in Charlotte, NC is the beautiful club Caviar.  This past weekend was the 2 year anniversary of the establishment and the club was packed with good vibes, a gorgeous dessert bar and of course beautiful people.  I spent the night in great company and great style.  I was walking on the wide side with my dark black lip and feline animal fierceness in a Nicki Minaj inspired dress I scored at Gojane.  A simple black shoe and a pop of color blue clutch brought my total look together.  Check out the club's Instagram page here (borrowed some pics shown below).  If you're ever in Charlotte be sure to party at Caviar where all the pretty girls party because after all why have catfish when you can have caviar?
