Mermaid Love The Bold & Beautiful

With the change in seasons I welcome the change in my wardrobe.  I trade in the sandals for boots, tank tops for blazers and of course change up my makeup palette.  Ever since I've seen Nina Moseley's (character from my favorite movie Love Jones) lip color, a deep dark chocolate brown I've been inspired to try dark richer lipsticks. One of my latest purchases included Media - a deep reddish purple satin color and Yung Rapunxel -a deep plum cream color from MAC cosmetics.  My lips were the main focus of my face so I lined my lips with MAC Burgundy lip pencil and kept my eyes simple with an orange hue eyeshadow with black eyeliner.  My dress was also simple with a black form fitted dress and minimal accessories.

MAC Media $15

The second lipstick I bought is Yung Rapunxel which is as bold and shocking as rapper Azealia Banks.  This shade is a deep purple with shimmer through out the cream.  There is a major difference in how the color photographs with or without a flash.  Either way I'm happy to have it in my collection and it will be in constant rotation this season.  Finally happy with my dark purple collections and now on the search for deep blood reds, any suggestions?
