From Casual To Cute The Transformation

You know you have a shopping problem when you can pop a tag off of a dress and go shopping just by walking in your closet.  That was what I did when I had to find an outfit to wear to a concert then directly to the club. With a last minute ticket to the K. Michelle concert,  I was in a panic because I did not know what to wear.  Casual and comfortable was the key for the standing room concert but I did not want to dress down for the afterparty.  Finally I decided to wear a dress that can be dressed down or dressed up.

Need to dress down a look?  Try my three piece casual combo!  Combat boots, a leather jacket, and a beenie can make any outfit edgy and casual instantly.  This was my choice for the holly vertical stripe bodycon midi dress.
For the after party I converted my casual hipster look to an edgy club look just by changing my shoes.  The neon pop of color contrasted my dress and really complimented my lip color. {Crissy tip: use eyeliner pencil as lipstick for a custom perfect shade as seen here}
This dress I bought in July from the main range of Boohoo for $30 in a size 14.  I know this dress is sold out but GREAT NEWS,  today launched the addition of plus size items to boohoo.com!

 Real
Steve Madden Dubstep

So which do you prefer?  The Real or the Steal?  Close I can say the Real deal looks better and I think its cool with the strap velcro closure but being that I spent LESS than a third of the cost, I'd buy the steal all over again!

Steal
GoJane

  1. The steal shoe definitely looks more secure and definitely seems like it could support more. Over time the Velcro will mess up... I loved this post! :-)

  2. I love this outfit. And, I loved that you listed the splurge vs steal section for those fantabulous shoes that I've been seeing a lot lately.

    I love your style!

    Love from Toronto!
