Friends & Lovers The Night With Marsha Ambrosious

Friends and lovers, one hell of a combination.  This was the topic and mood for the Marsha Ambrosious concert with special guests Mprynt.  Anyone that knows me understands I'm a sucker for sultry and sexy R&B music.  One thing I can say is that Marsha Ambrosious doesn't need the lights, fancy costumes or back up dancers to put on a good show.  She has her cd quality voice and charm that delivered a great show.  No shade, many artist sound compelety different on cd than singing live but Marsha was not one of them.  She was surprisingly witty and funny; I felt like I was hanging out with a girlfriend drinking and laughing all night.  If you have a chance to see Marsha in concert, go!  Oh yes, I can't forget bout the sexy boy band...or should I say man group Mprynt . At first I was unsure of them because of their coordinating outfits, but they quickly proved them selfs to be talented and engaging.  I equally enjoyed their singing and made it a note to self to invest in their music.

Live In The Now

My mantra for 2014 is "Live In The Now".  Too many times I've declined invitations for a night out, or movie date or even hanging out with associates and friends.  Time seems to be passing me by and I don't ever want to look back one day and think to myself 'Man, I missed out.'  I decided to go out and get fancy and dolled up once a month at least in the new year.  To kick off 2014 I partied with good friends and rocked my MBD (mini black dress)- every women should have one.  To cover my legs I opted for the overly popular ZigiNY Piarry thigh high boots and a popping matte lip.

Networking: Not What You Know, But Who You Know

Networking is one of the major keys to success.  I jumped at the chance to meet some of the small business owners of Charlotte at the recent "Woman Who Network" event at the beautiful club Caviar.  This event held over 15 vendors and ambitious professionals to shop from and share information with.  With gourmet food and free entry the event was a success and I will be sure to be at the next one!  I wanted to rock my thigh high Zigi NYC Piarry boots with an all black ensemble and a pop of color on my lips.  Love the dress?  Check out similar at Luxe Vain Boutique.

Lace Me Up, Scottie!

One of the hottest trends of this season is the lace up thigh high boot.  How else can you scream 'Come and get it.", "I'm the s$@t.", and be a sexy siren without them?  When I first saw Emily B's Instagram post of a thigh high laced up boot I feel in love.  This shoe is edgy and sexy and immediately makes any outfit a killer one.  These boots will look best with a mini drew or shirt and can also be worn with shorts, leggings and jeans.  Ever since New York Fashion Week when designers like Emilio Pucci, Alexander McQueen, and Tony Bianco (here) showed their sexy boots they have been featured on many celebrities.
