My Little Black Dress

Party night for dancing brought about this OOTN.  I wanted to wear a little black dress (LBD) and do so with the latest of trends: Mesh.  Mesh has been very popular this spring season and you can find it in dresses, blouses, and even leggings.  I found a snug LBD at Arden B and fell in love with its sexy yet simple detail.  The detail shows enough skin and still covers my body.  If you love the mesh look, check out these looks at Fashion to Figure, American Apparel, Forever 21.  Because the dress is so daring I kept the accessories light with long earrings and a beautiful braided bracelet.  I wanted to brighten up the dress with a bright color lip and 5" coral shoe; the Jessica Simpson Waleo Platform Pumps shoe has many bright colors which are popping for summer!

Tribal Hi-Lighter

One of the latest trends for this summer is the 'high & low' hem for dresses and shirts.  Being that I have a little junk in the trunk I appreciate the extra length in the back.  I found this shirt in particular to be very lightweight and comfortable.  The color is an awesome yellow and since the shirt was see thru I wore a white tank underneath.  I paired this cheery shirt with a pair of pants I swiped from my little sister :)  My pants are on the line of fabulous slash hideous (as I been told), but I pulled out the charm and combined these questionable pants with my secret weapon- my adorable panda bear necklace.  I turned many heads today and was dubbed fashionista by my friends for making these pants look good.  Do you have any items in your closet that's so hideous its fabulous?

Good Luck Charming

Chic and comfy was my inspiration for my Saturday outfit of the day.  I wanted to wear a bright color to welcome the spring weather and choose a creamsicle orange  horseshoe peekaboo top.  The shirt is light and sheer which moved nice.  I wanted a loose almost slouchy fit so bought the top in a 2X.  I love the cut out shoulders and stand up collar detail and wore my gold hoop earrings to give a 90's feel.  Since I wore this shirt with dark jeans and a neutral brown shoe (which I featured here) I painted my lips with a bright pink color Viva Glam Nicki -coveted by every make up maven after its special release. This basic glam look was perfect for dinner and I received many compliments.

Color Blocking Bold & Beautiful

For the past four years Charlotte, NC has been the jump-off for the very popular basketball tournament CIAA.  People come from all over the nation to attend the basketball games, including Michelle Obama, Future, Tionna Smalls, Nelly, DJ Drama just to name a few and most importantly people come to PARTY and show out!  I went out with friends in a stretch hummer and we all looked great.  I wore separate pieces showcasing a fashion forward going mod mini skirt $16.99.  A sheer xhilaration juniors long sleeve jacket as a blouse and I paid about $6 even though on the Target site it shows for $14.  Instead of a belt I wore a men's cubberband (from store's bowtie section) and I finished the look with my Sam Elderman inspired heavy spiked heel shoe.  My outfit cost about $30 minus the ($80 shoes) but I looked like a million bucks!
