Whimsical Life- DIY Day to Night

One way to ensure no one will have on the same outfit as you is to make your outfit.   I love finding clothes and altering them just a little to create a whole new look.  The DIY project below made it possible for me to use ONE dress to create TWO different looks for day and night. A few months ago I feel in love with a coral flowy accordion maxi dress from Forever 21.  I first saw the dress last summer in a mint color and decided against it because of the way my hips looked in the dress.  When I saw the dress reappear this year I knew I had to make it work and took the dress home with me.  Unsure how I was going to pull the dress off, I decided in the worst case scenario I could cut the dress in two at the seam and wear it as two separate pieces.....and that Divadolls is just what I did! Where the top and skirt was joined together I cut above the elastic part in the waist. Viola!  Now I had a cute half top and flowy skirt that became unique statement pieces I adore.

Calm Down

Just a quick post to share my new do; yes, I'm a blonde now!  Anyone that has been following me on Instagram have seen my new hair color for about two weeks now.  Its July an my birthday month so I wanted to have sexy, exciting hair.  This hair is from a previous install which can first be seen here.  I colored the hair myself from bleaching my Peruvian virgin curly texture hair from Chic Elegance Virgin Hair Boutique.  Blonde hair, pechy lips and denim is all I needed for my casual outfit of the day outfit.  To put the finishing touch on my look I wore accesories from Streetz Of London.
