Food Truck Friday Charlotte

Just a quick post to mention the fabulous time I had over the weekend.  The day consisted of movie watching and great food eating.  Each Friday in Charlotte a group of over 15 trucks gather to share their creative and tasty menus.  Everything has a unique spin on a classic dish and everything looked and smelled amazing!  The toughest decision was trying to decide which truck to try and I settled for the Papi Queso Truck.  I grabbed the most popular item which was the gourmet "Pig Mac"- gooey and cheesy macaroni and cheese, pulled shredded pork sandwich with herbs and applewood bacon- yumm!  Drinking beer and eating cheese sandwiches all while people stared at my super bright shoes was how my night went; no complaints over here.  Cant' wait to take my daughter and try another truck.

What Waist? Review of Luxe Curves Waist Cincher

Have you noticed all the coke bottle-shaped women walking around?  How about the countless disappearing waistlines of your favorite celebrities? Do you want to know what thats about?  Two words for you....waist training.  Waist Training has been around for centuries and can create long term results as well as instant results.  If you follow my Instagram you may have noticed my ity-bity waist { LOL, its really not that small at all}.  By wearing my Luxe Think Pink Cincher, gifted to me from the ladies over at Luxe Curves, I've been able to create the perfect hourglass look.  I've worn this cincher out to an event and during a day of running errands; each time for at least four hours.  The waist trainer is bearable and comfortable enough to wear while standing up or exercising.  Whenever I sat down or drove it was very uncomfortable and forced me to sit straight up.  I plan to give waist training a fair shot for results by exercising and maintaining a balanced diet.  One thing for sure is that I loved the look of what my body could be.  Only time can tell if I will achieve the permeant results.  Check out the pros and cons below of my Luxe Curves waist trainer.

Be The Cool, Blank Canvas Relaunch

One of the easiest ways to show support for something is by gifting your presence.  Thats exactly how I supported the relaunch of Blank Canvas; which is a stylish men's store in Charlotte, NC that specializes in making their clients be the cool (the stores mantra).  The owners Harold and Nicole have backgrounds in architectural and interior design which definitely shows in the decor.  I loved the handmade wood and iron pipe shelves as well as the adjustable height lightbulb chandelier.  While being a social butterfly, I met neo-soul poets and photographers and it seemed everyone was deeply involved with the arts.   Music, makeup and photography were the topics of the night. My outfit captivated attention with the on trend fringe detail of my belt along with just enough sexy with my deep plunge top and red lip.  I had a ball and look forward to another networking night out in the future.

What I Wore

*Special thanks to Aurelius- a fly photographer and graphic designer I met at the relaunch who snapped a few of these awesome pictures of me!  Check out his work here.

Summer To Autumn x Sassy Jones Boutique

Autumn is just around the corner and I'm trying to ease myself into the wardrobe change.  Sometimes fall fashion can be difficult especially when the weather is still warm outside.  My casual outfit was a mix of distressed cut off capris and a basic comfortable luxe sweater with a side zipper detail.  The best way to glam up any casual outfit is with a bold necklace.  The star of my look is a attention striking multi colored necklace and people couldn't help but compliment the sparkling neck candy everywhere I went.  You may remember a previous post where I rocked a gorgeous necklace as seen here also from Sassy Jones Boutique.  Try to mix a piece from your summer wardrobe with your fall wardrobe for a cute transitioning look.
