OH MY GOODIES! Beauty Box 5!

So if any of you are like me you may be a beauty product fanatic!  It does not matter if I am walking down the aisles of my local drug store, or walking through aisles of Walmart I am forever and a day picking up a new item to try.  It could have been simply because its in an eye catching bottle or fancy writing on jars.  Time and time again I may find a new product I love and can't believe I lived without it, or the opposite, a product I hate an waisted money on. What would you say if you could try new products monthly from companies you may not have even heard from?  Without a waste of money.

Then ladies you are in luck!  Honey, let me tell you about the latest trend in beauty products.  Recently I've been contacted by a monthly based product company called Beauty Box 5.  This company will send up to 5 items in a cute little tiffany blue color box.  The boxes will contain up to 5 items from some of the top brands in the beauty business.  Check out some of these brands here and after sending on feedback on the types of products you like the boxes will become personalized just for your likings.  For a low monthly cost of just $12 you get to try new products and a chance to find your new loved item with an opportunity to cancel your membership at any time.

Stay tuned ladies for upcoming unboxing videos of the Beauty Box 5 boxes I've received.  In the meantime be sure to check out the companies Facebook page here and their website here.

From Casual To Cute The Transformation

You know you have a shopping problem when you can pop a tag off of a dress and go shopping just by walking in your closet.  That was what I did when I had to find an outfit to wear to a concert then directly to the club. With a last minute ticket to the K. Michelle concert,  I was in a panic because I did not know what to wear.  Casual and comfortable was the key for the standing room concert but I did not want to dress down for the afterparty.  Finally I decided to wear a dress that can be dressed down or dressed up.

Need to dress down a look?  Try my three piece casual combo!  Combat boots, a leather jacket, and a beenie can make any outfit edgy and casual instantly.  This was my choice for the holly vertical stripe bodycon midi dress.
For the after party I converted my casual hipster look to an edgy club look just by changing my shoes.  The neon pop of color contrasted my dress and really complimented my lip color. {Crissy tip: use eyeliner pencil as lipstick for a custom perfect shade as seen here}
This dress I bought in July from the main range of Boohoo for $30 in a size 14.  I know this dress is sold out but GREAT NEWS,  today launched the addition of plus size items to boohoo.com!

 Real
Steve Madden Dubstep

So which do you prefer?  The Real or the Steal?  Close I can say the Real deal looks better and I think its cool with the strap velcro closure but being that I spent LESS than a third of the cost, I'd buy the steal all over again!

Paint The Town Black

An all black outfit is always timeless and chic; exactly what I was going for when dressing for a birthday dinner.  This season, leather is the new denim and I wanted to dress my faux leather shorts up for a luxurious look.  I found a faux fur vest and paired it with a sheer blouse to add a touch of sexy to my outfit without over doing it.  Perfect for a November night, back seem pantyhose from Donatella's kept my legs warm.  With a high bun and minimal accessories I pulled off my timeless and chic look to enjoy the festivities with friends.

Sip And Shop At The House Of Chanel

Had a great time while networking at a local women's boutique in Charlotte, NC called the House of Chanel.  This boutique carries main range as well as plus size clothes.  The sip and shop was a success and I'm already looking forward to the next one.  Hey what can I say?  I love any reason to get dressed and fancy. Oh, and did you guys check out my undercut?  What do you think of it?

Networking: Not What You Know, But Who You Know

Networking is one of the major keys to success.  I jumped at the chance to meet some of the small business owners of Charlotte at the recent "Woman Who Network" event at the beautiful club Caviar.  This event held over 15 vendors and ambitious professionals to shop from and share information with.  With gourmet food and free entry the event was a success and I will be sure to be at the next one!  I wanted to rock my thigh high Zigi NYC Piarry boots with an all black ensemble and a pop of color on my lips.  Love the dress?  Check out similar at Luxe Vain Boutique.

She's Pretty For A Big Girl? Flaws Of Couture

SWERVE! Naw Boo, She's pretty period!  In society big women are not traditionally looked at as being beautiful especially in America.  When an attractive full figure woman is seen people usually say she has a pretty face or she's pretty for a big girl.  This statement sweatshirt from Flaws of Couture's Pretty Period Collection is challenging society and the views of the ignorant when it comes to size and skin color.  "Pretty For A Big Girl?" is a not a statement but a question; one that should make a provincial mind wonder and think about how a statement like such can make a person feel.  This top is a must have for anyone that wants to make a statement and support that big women can be attractive as any other size.   FOC also will be releasing a "Pretty For A Dark Skin Girl?" sweatshirt soon so be on the lookout.
