Fashion Figures: Josephine Swim

Sexy, beautiful, and modern...three words I usually would not use to describe plus size swimwear.  However at the first glance of Josephine Swim those were the first words to come in mind.  Some of you may remember a few weeks back when a few pictures of seductive swimsuits with bold prints started to surface on Instagram. The buzz started because one thing a girl can never have is too many bathing suits!  Now we know who to thank for this gorgeous line;  Marie Jean Baptise, designer of the poplar contemporary brand Rue 107 and also the mastermind behind this line of luxury swimwear.  I am pleased to introduce you Dolls to Josephine Swim which includes full coverage swimwear or bikinis.  The "Into The Wild" debut collection was inspired by the waters of Africa and the patterns and colors are nothing short than amazing.  I cannot wait to get my hands on one of these babies.  Be sure to check out the website and some of my favorite styles below.

Little Black Dress Done Casually

One of the easiest looks I can throw together is with the Little Black Dress.  For a quick decision night at the bar I threw on my LBD and jazzed it up with a hip flannel top tied around my waist.  One of my favorite companies to work with is Donatella's.  Check out some of their other styles I wore here and here.  One thing I love about these plus size mock suspender tights in particular is the sex appeal the faux garter print gives my outfit.  Love the look, check out the tights here!  To stay true to the casual vibe I rocked low studded ankle boots and a leather jacket.   I was dressed and out the door in 15 minutes, not bad huh?

$1,000 Face: Skin Care & Luxury Natural Face

It's not always the makeup itself that makes you look beautiful, but also the condition of your skin.  Lately I've been getting really into skin care.  The foundation of a flawless made up face will be the skincare routine.  I was recently introduced to the Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Serum by celebrity make up artist Brittany of Nordstrom's beauty department (here).  She suggested the YSL serum because it has anti-aging ingredients like glycanactif and also the serum brightens the skin and creates a glow.  With 100 years of research, 7 nobel prize mentions and with 2 out of 3 women choosing YSL serum I had to give it a try.  At $155 a bottle I opted for a couple of sample packs tom my beauty consultant and tried it for myself.  Personally, I really like this serum because of the lightweight feel on my skin and the wonderful apricot smell which is the signature smell of most of the YSL products.  During the day, I kept checking on my face and it seemed to do well with my oily T-zone area.  So far I am pleased with the serum but it's too early to tell if I'd recommend it or would buy a full bottle.  I'll be sure to update you dolls again about this serum with long term use.  One thing for sure is that I plan to start with anti-aging now instead of later.

Pretty Girl Playground

One of the prettiest places to party in Charlotte, NC is the beautiful club Caviar.  This past weekend was the 2 year anniversary of the establishment and the club was packed with good vibes, a gorgeous dessert bar and of course beautiful people.  I spent the night in great company and great style.  I was walking on the wide side with my dark black lip and feline animal fierceness in a Nicki Minaj inspired dress I scored at Gojane.  A simple black shoe and a pop of color blue clutch brought my total look together.  Check out the club's Instagram page here (borrowed some pics shown below).  If you're ever in Charlotte be sure to party at Caviar where all the pretty girls party because after all why have catfish when you can have caviar?
