Basic Foundation + Skincare Routine Video

One thing people ask me about is my skincare and what I do to maintain a clear face.  Recently, I've been using a few different products that has become staples for my daily skincare and foundation routine.  By cleaning, exfoliating, and using a facial moisturizer, I've been able to prevent dry flaky skin during these colder months.  These are my must have product recommendations for skincare and foundation routines.

What I Used

Murad ® Essential-C Cleanser -Filled with Vitamin C, I use this cleanser to brighten and hydrate my skin daily
Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition 10pc Brush Set - Facet-nating - Inexpensive and great quality, these brushes are perfect for a novice or professional makeup lover.
M·A·C 'Prep + Prime' Fix+ Finishing Mist - I spray this on my brush before applying my foundation to create a dewy foundation appearance.  Its also great to mist over a full face of makeup to prevent a cake face look.
LancĂ´me 'Cils Booster XL' Super Enhancing Mascara Base - My current obsession!  This makes my fine eyelashes really standout and pop.
EOS Visibly Soft Coconut Milk Lip Balm - Daily essential during cold months to keep my lips kissable and moisturized.
M·A·C 'Studio Careblend' Pressed Powder - I use this to set my liquid foundation so it will remain all day.
M·A·C 'Studio Fix' Fluid Foundation SPF 15 - Waterproof foundation that I can wear sheer or full coverage which works great on my combination oily skin.
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream - Perfect to lock moisture in after I clean my face plus keeps under my eye hydrated.
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - Very lightweight but medium coverage that I can wear alone, or paired with powder PLUS it has SPF 20 to help protect my skin.  *tip: buy two, one in a lighter shade so can double as concealer too.

Insanity 60- Day Total Body Conditioning Program + Food Plan Week 1

When's a better time to start working on your fitness than during the holidays?  Typically, people use this time of year to pig out and over indulge on foods and sweets.  I plan to bring in the new year toning and sculpting my body with matching healthier eating habits.  I choose INSANITY® 60-Day Total Body Conditioning Program  to reach my goals.  My sister Caress has successfully done this program and with consistency and determination she has lost 68lbs and looks amazing!

*tips: TAKE PLENTY OF PICTURES!  Pictures will show your progress as well as keep you motivated.  The mirror is not always your friend so pictures will help, also try not to weigh yourself more than once per week.  Your weight fluctuates many times during the day and week so its ideal to check your weight the same time of day weekly.  Lastly, TAKE MEASUREMENTS because again, the mirror and scale can sometimes not tell the whole picture during your weightless journey.

Below are all of my social media handles where my journey for the next 60 days will be shared:

Designer or Inspired: Dior So Real vs. Newdress.com

I get so excited when I find a new website with great products.  Newdress.com has trendy inexpensive items at very low prices.

It seems everywhere I look lately on social media I spot a celebrity or Instagram socialite rocking the Dior "So Real" sunglasses.

Currently, spending $500 on a pair of glasses is not in my budget so I was excited to see a similar pair on Newdress.

Check out what I think of this haul below and be sure to subscribe to my channel.

Maximize Your Shopping, One Shirt Styled Two Ways

Gone are the days of picking up random pieces without actual visions or plans of how I will wear them.

There has been times I've purchased something thinking "I can do something with this" and not actually wear the item.
Now,  that I'm smarter with my money, I only shop with purpose, especially this Black Friday weekend.
When I eyed this high-slit sheer maxi button down top I knew I could style it a few different ways.  Olive is the new black and very on trend so I had to grab this top.
Its great for a classy or dressy look and it will be a staple in my wardrobe.

How To Lowlight Blonde 613 Weave Extensions

Blonde hair is such a fun way to change up your look and easier now than ever before with the vast selection of hair extensions.  When I decided to go blonde I decided to try a new approach instead of breaking the bank with expensive bleaching products and hair color.
Not to mention the damage I did to my costly weave to lift the original brown-black hair color to blonde.  After hours of bleaching the dark bundle hair, it would typically come out brassy orange toned and not actually blonde.  So this time around I decided to begin with barbie blonde hair that I bought from Luxe Crown Hair.

The color of my extensions was not realistic at all so I decided to add warm color and dimension to the hair with lowlights.  I hope you Dolls find this video helpful!  Check out my video below on coloring 613 blonde weave.

Nordstrom Fall Beauty Trend Event + Jo Malone

Twice a year Nordstrom has a beauty trend event where fabulous ladies get together and discuss new products and techniques in makeup.  I had the pleasure to host Nordstrom's Fall Beauty Trend Event alongside beauty expert Terri Craft and blogger MiaTheBoss.  It was such a memorable experience sharing my favorite products, answering questions about skincare, and interacting with other beauty enthusiasts.
As most of you already know I am a big fragrance lover so of course I had to stop by Jo Malone and check out what's new.  Cristina is a fragrance specialist and Jo Malone manager who creates a fun experience while choosing your signature scent.  Nordstrom makes sure their beauty stylists know their stuff and I throughly enjoy my chats with Christina.

Mimosa & Cardamom is the newest scent to be added to the line up.  Jo Malone knows a woman loves to feel dainty yet sexy and this scent creates both moods.  Mimosa & Cardamom falls under the floral profile and smells lovely alone or mixed.  The suggested paring scents are Peony & Blush Suede, English Pear Freesia, or Rose Water &Vanilla.

How To Wear Camouflage

Mixing prints can be fun yet challenging, especially when talking about camouflage.  The ultra masculine and militant look of army pants can be easily styled to feminine awesomeness.

I find girly prints like floral, leopard, or black and white stripes look the best with camo pants.  Just about any pattern top with army pants will look daring and chic when paired with heels.

Check out my favorite detail: the pull strings to make your pants go from wide leg pants to jogger style very easily.  Do you think this is a trend you'll try?
