Maximize Your Shopping, One Shirt Styled Two Ways

Gone are the days of picking up random pieces without actual visions or plans of how I will wear them.

There has been times I've purchased something thinking "I can do something with this" and not actually wear the item.
Now,  that I'm smarter with my money, I only shop with purpose, especially this Black Friday weekend.
When I eyed this high-slit sheer maxi button down top I knew I could style it a few different ways.  Olive is the new black and very on trend so I had to grab this top.
Its great for a classy or dressy look and it will be a staple in my wardrobe.

Can't Stop Wiggin' Out + Video

It is so important during the summer to give extra TLC to your natural hair.  The heat and dry weather can cause spilt ends and dry scalp which is horrible for hair growth.  Even though I wear custom-made wigs, I still take the time to treat my natural tresses. Its recommend to treat your natural hair in-between sew in weaves or sewn down wigs with a deep conditioning treatment, an oil treatment and even clipped ends if necessary.  When I allow my hair to "breathe" I either wear my hair in a wash-n-go (see tutorial) or I use my back up wig.  Yes, I said back up wig!  My back up wig is store bought and made of remy human hair.  I do not spend much time or money on this wig since its sole purpose is to throw on if I am too lazy to twist my hair or if I'm on day four of a wash n go.  Its so easy to just throw on a wig cap and Blair (the name of my wig style) and head out the door.

How cute are these Tessa vintage earrings?  Gifted by my favorite accessories boutique and still available here.

As I give my natural hair a break and allow it to breathe I throw on Blair and bright scallop hem shorts for a refreshing summertime look.  By pairing bright coral and denim I was able to pull together my outfit of the day.   Coral and lime green are great contrasting colors and my go to summer colors.  What are some of your favorite summer hues?

Minimalist Sunshine

As I approach the end of my twenties one of my fashion goals is to incorporate a minimalist style into my wardrobe.  Even though I live for a bodycon dress and tight pants I want to incorporate more structure into my life.  This can be done with tailored pieces and clean and simple lines.  Two key pieces I plan to keep in my closet will be my classic white collar shirt and distressed high waisted denim shorts.  These two items are necessary for any minimalist wardrobe.  I styled my outfit of the day with a touch of bling; a sparkly bella crystal necklace gifted from Sassy Jones Boutique.  Statement necklace can add character to the most simple look and are always my favorite to wear.  A single strap, gold and clear heel shoe finally made a debut from my dusty shoe shelf and tied this look together.  Sporting orange lips, I enjoyed the day and took an easy breezy walk downtown .  What is a key piece in your summer wardrobe?

Crystal Chanel x Luxe Vain Boutique Launch

Finally, I am able to spill the beans about the Unbothered Belly And All collaboration with Luxe Vain Boutique.  There are limited edition t-shirts and tank tops with the hashtag I created last year on Instagram.  The tag became a badge of self love and body acceptance for many Dolls like myself.  It all started from the fat shamming I received on social media after posting a picture of myself in a dress.  Even with my shaper on, my stomach was apparent and some people thought I was "wrong" for wearing a body conscious dress with the body I had.  My attitude was and has always been, "I dress for myself and I love it."  I continued to wear what I want and how I want and I spoke up against cyber bullies.  Like an ocean wave, the momentum for #UnbotheredBellyAndAll continued to grow.  Today, I am proud to share my t-shirt and tank tops with anyone who makes it a purpose to love themselves.

Blooming Spring With Floral Trend

Florals are a beautiful way to add a feminine touch to any wardrobe.  The bright colors and romantic details are timeless and will always make for a beautiful look.  Whats not to love about floral print coordinates like the one gifted to me from Luxe Vain Boutique.  This look is easy to love because its simple.  The bold black stripe down the leg of the jogger pants and top creates a sense of sporty chic-ness.  My look of the day was complete with a nude ankle strap sandal and a matte pink lip. Running errands have never been more glamorous and I'm looking forward to styling these pieces separately in the future.

Denim Glam & Disco Pants

One of my favorite Autumn purchases has been my disco pants from American Apparel.  These pants are very stretchy and instantly slimming.  With the shiny fabric they can be easy dressed up or down. To create a casual glam look I threw on a super cute denim top and a studded out pair of ankle boots.  By creating a big funky bun it made my look a bit dressy.  The icing on my style cake was my dark lippie and burgundy eyeshadow.  It seems denim is the new black!  Maybe a denim lookbook should be up next on ChanelTube....what says you Dolls?

Unbothered, Belly And All- New Series

Have you ever had one of those days where you just 'wanna get away', maybe have some time to yourself or a day with your girls; a day-cation if you would?  That was exactly how I felt over the weekend so I decided to check out downtown Charlotte and find some fun.  With the Justin Timberlake concert and AKA BoulĂ© going on, the city was live!  The weather was 90 degrees plus so a light top and open legs were called for.  Instead of wearing shorts, I opted for very trendy distressed jeans I picked up from the House of Chanel boutique.  These jeans are available here and were the focal point of my outfit.  Openly, I am an advocate for fat girls in crop tops but I also am an advocate for shape wear.  I started the day without the proper undergarments and quickly made my way to the nearest Target.  The self expressions by Madenform tummy control panties made my belly smooth and I instantly felt a boost of confidence....not too bad for $15 huh?  Going forward, I will feature bold Divadolls on my blog that use the hashtag #UnbotheredBellyAndAll.  Love the movement?  Join in and use the hashtag on your social media.  See you fabulous ladies on Instagram and Facebook!
