Nordstrom Fall Beauty Trend Event + Jo Malone

Twice a year Nordstrom has a beauty trend event where fabulous ladies get together and discuss new products and techniques in makeup.  I had the pleasure to host Nordstrom's Fall Beauty Trend Event alongside beauty expert Terri Craft and blogger MiaTheBoss.  It was such a memorable experience sharing my favorite products, answering questions about skincare, and interacting with other beauty enthusiasts.
As most of you already know I am a big fragrance lover so of course I had to stop by Jo Malone and check out what's new.  Cristina is a fragrance specialist and Jo Malone manager who creates a fun experience while choosing your signature scent.  Nordstrom makes sure their beauty stylists know their stuff and I throughly enjoy my chats with Christina.

Mimosa & Cardamom is the newest scent to be added to the line up.  Jo Malone knows a woman loves to feel dainty yet sexy and this scent creates both moods.  Mimosa & Cardamom falls under the floral profile and smells lovely alone or mixed.  The suggested paring scents are Peony & Blush Suede, English Pear Freesia, or Rose Water &Vanilla.

Pose N Post Symposium With Chrisette Michele And Friends

One of the highlights of my April thus far has been an invitation by Miss Soul Songstress herself, Chrisette Michele to attend her event Pose n Post Symposium.  Bloggers, small business owners, and vloggers like myself, full of energy and positive vibes, networked over cupcakes and champagne.  There was an awesome panel of guest speakers which I was uber excited to meet.  The panel included the fabulous minimalist Fash better know as Lover_4Fashion, Naturalist and jewelry maker Brosia, self made multi-millionaire Courtney Adeleye of the Mane Collection products, and of course the beautiful Chrisette Michele.  The panel discussed different topics and gave their background stories on how they reached their level of success.  The Pose n Post Symposium was validation to follow my craft, continue along the path to build my brand and to grow from what I love.  It also made it possible to network with many ladies and meet a fellow NC blogger Kim of NaurallyFashionable, who is so kind spirited and down to Earth.  The highlight of the night was hearing the sultry, velvet sounds of Chrisette Michele in a live concert eek!  Her voice is smooth like butter and I feel in love with it all over again.  A video recap will be on my channel over this weekend, be sure to stop by and check it out.  This event was filled with tears of testimony, laughter and full of insight.  It was a reminder to stay true to yourself and never stop reaching for the stars because anything is possible

My outfit was a huge hit with my DIY fur shoes and long cape top from the House of Chanel.  Let me know if a DIY tutorial for my shoes and hair are in order?!

Vision Board Party Dreamers To Doers 2015

More than arts and crafts, a vision board is a visual reminder and motivator for the improvement, enrichment, or change you want to take place in your life.  For the past three years I've been an advocate for vision boards.  Instead of doing my vision board with just family and friends, I created and hosted an intimate Dreamers To Doers Vision Board Party at the House of Chanel in Charlotte.  The vision board party was uber girly with cute photo props, fancy mixed drinks, and the tastiest cupcakes gifted by Sweet Arts of Charlotte.  I wore my favorite high-waisted skinny jeans and a vintage whimsical blazer paired with my go to pink lipstick inspired by a very pink candy bar.  With my heels as high as my goals, I was able to network and mingle with over 28 goal driven women.  We were inspired by guest speaker, Krystal Harrell, Personal Branding and Development Mentor named by Fortune Magazine as The Next-Generation Female Entrepreneur.  Krystal's message was easy to understand and she had a great way of connecting with people; in fact many ladies had one on one's with her to personalize their goals at the party.  The Dreamers To Doers Vision Board party was a great success and will be annual!  Have you made your vision board for 2015?  If not get started with this helpful free printable goal-sheet from My Fab Finance blog.  Having a plan towards a goal is a great way to reach it, so grab your girlfriends and a bottle of wine and host your own vision board party today!

Denim Glam & Disco Pants

One of my favorite Autumn purchases has been my disco pants from American Apparel.  These pants are very stretchy and instantly slimming.  With the shiny fabric they can be easy dressed up or down. To create a casual glam look I threw on a super cute denim top and a studded out pair of ankle boots.  By creating a big funky bun it made my look a bit dressy.  The icing on my style cake was my dark lippie and burgundy eyeshadow.  It seems denim is the new black!  Maybe a denim lookbook should be up next on ChanelTube....what says you Dolls?
