Can't Stop Wiggin' Out + Video

It is so important during the summer to give extra TLC to your natural hair.  The heat and dry weather can cause spilt ends and dry scalp which is horrible for hair growth.  Even though I wear custom-made wigs, I still take the time to treat my natural tresses. Its recommend to treat your natural hair in-between sew in weaves or sewn down wigs with a deep conditioning treatment, an oil treatment and even clipped ends if necessary.  When I allow my hair to "breathe" I either wear my hair in a wash-n-go (see tutorial) or I use my back up wig.  Yes, I said back up wig!  My back up wig is store bought and made of remy human hair.  I do not spend much time or money on this wig since its sole purpose is to throw on if I am too lazy to twist my hair or if I'm on day four of a wash n go.  Its so easy to just throw on a wig cap and Blair (the name of my wig style) and head out the door.

How cute are these Tessa vintage earrings?  Gifted by my favorite accessories boutique and still available here.

As I give my natural hair a break and allow it to breathe I throw on Blair and bright scallop hem shorts for a refreshing summertime look.  By pairing bright coral and denim I was able to pull together my outfit of the day.   Coral and lime green are great contrasting colors and my go to summer colors.  What are some of your favorite summer hues?

Simple Dress And Shades

Summer is here full force and what better way to enjoy it than by getting out of the house.  Over the weekend I had a chance to enjoy the grand opening event of a local beauty studio Elle C Luxury in Charlotte.  What to wear has been the dreaded question since most of my clothes I gave away or sold in my closet store Shop Crystal.  With my weight fluctuating and my clothing size changing so much I have become quite fond of simple attire.  Maxi dresses, leggings and tank dresses are my current favorites in my wardrobe.  This wine racerback bodycon dress is very chic plus the material is very forgiving.  Paired with my gladiator sandals and minimum jewelry, I had a sense of effortless style.    Sometimes all you need is a simple dress and a pair of shades to let your attitude shine through.
